| Class 32 | Friday, November 07 |
On Friday we pushed forward with the progressions, learning a new technique that I call the "step zone." You can read about on pp. 74-76 of the theory text and I gave out a new worksheet.
I'll reblog all three progressions worksheets here because uhhhhhhh nobody has done them yet. 😕
Worksheet #15: I-V-I with Common Tone
Assignment #15 asks you to make I-V-I progressions with our super-smooth, super-professional common-tone technique. You can read up about this on p. 71 of our newly expanded theory book.
This worksheet is due Friday, Nov 7.
Worksheet #16: I-V-I with the Next-Closest Connection
Worksheet #16 encourages you to make a few progs with the slightly looser "next-closest" connection. This is covered on p. 72 of the theory textbook.
This one is due on Tues, Nov 11.
Worksheet #17: The Step Zone
Worksheet #17 asks you to make a few progressions in which the bass moves up by step. You can read about how to handle this on pp. 74-76 of the theory text.
This one is due Fri, Nov 14.
Time is time and time and time again
