Class 3: March 6
OK, this was another small class. One person, in fact. That's OK - these things happen when there are four and everybody has jobs etc. (And as far as I can tell we still aren't canceled, so that's good.)

This was beneficial, actually, because we could focus on one person's needs, skipping over some things and getting up to speed with other things. The homework is basically the same.

Level Up - Why not try your hand at levels five and six? Also, if you don't have a computerized study aid for note reading you might want to check back to the class one post where I review a few options.

Rhythm - The goal is still to get started conducting in 4/4. Practice conducting along to recordings in order to get comfortable, and maybe try executing the first four lines of the rhythmic anthology, conducting and saying "ta."

If you want something new to look at, I do have a new handout on playing piano and a first piece that we could try. But we'll get there soon enough.

Finally, continue to practice singing the first three melodies from our sight-singing anthology with the solfege syllables. Remember that you can "move them around" to different pitch levels - just choose a new "do" (other than C) and go from there.
