| Class 6 | Friday, September 11 |
All right, we'll assign a new homework about "the dot" and #5 will be due. We'll also go back to making scales and reading some melodies in different keys - maybe we'll even move melodies from one key to another.
Worksheet #5: More treble practice, whole/half steps, and a scale
Homework #5 is a mixed bag. It starts with a little more treble clef practice in the manner of Level Up. Then it asks you to judge a few whole steps and half steps on the piano, which is covered on pp. 19-20 of our textbook. Last but not least it has you string a bunch of those steps together to make a major scale, as is explained on pp. 27-28.
This one is due today!
Worksheet #6: The Dot
Homework #6 asks you to put a count on four rhythms that feature the dot. This is covered in chapter 7 of our textbook and if you want you could look at my powerpoint from Tuesday's class.
This one is due on Friday, Sept 18.
